This privacy policy governs the manner in which Nutrition Her, (“we”, “us”, “our” or similar pronouns) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of nutritionher.com (henceforth, referred to as the “Site”). This privacy policy applies only to the Site and all products and services offered by Nutrition Her (including, without limitation, both mobile and online versions of our web sites, and also applies to your use of all features, applications, content, downloads and other services that we make available through the Site and/or that post a link to this privacy policy, regardless of how you access or use the Site, whether via personal computers, mobile devices, or otherwise. This privacy policy does not apply to our data collection activities offline or otherwise outside of our Service (unless otherwise stated below).

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our Site, register on the Site, subscribe to the newsletter, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and other information about them or their business or organization. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities. Information collected may be stored on our computer hardware or the hardware of our third party service providers.

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices, and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site. Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.  While we do not currently use third party services that display customized content and advertising provided by us, we may do so in the future. When we use third parties to assist us in collecting and/or processing your personal information, we typically request that they comply with this privacy policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. However, we make no representation or warranty that such third parties will comply with any such request.

WEB BROWSER COOKIES

Our Site may use "cookies" to enhance User experience. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a User’s computer for record keeping purposes. User's web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

LOG FILES

As is true of most websites, we gather information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the Site, to track the movements of users around the SIte and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

THIRD PARTY AD SERVER NETWORKS

Our Site may use third parties such as network advertisers to serve advertisements on our Site and may use traffic measurement services to analyze traffic on our Site. Network advertisers are third parties that display advertisements based on your visits to our Site and other websites you have visited. Third party ad serving enables us to target advertisements to you for products and services in which you might be interested. While we take all reasonable measures to comply with this policy, we cannot ensure that your information will be 100% secure due to hackers, disgruntled employees, acts of God, etc. We will exercise commercially reasonable efforts to maintain compliance with the terms of this privacy policy. This is not a contractual agreement to provide any level of security for your data as breaches of personal information may occur on any system in spite of best practices and best efforts. We commit to provide timely notification to any Users whose information is involved in any information leak or breach.

APPLICABLE LAWS/JURISDICTION

Users agree that the laws of the State of New York, excluding its conflicts-of-law rules, shall govern this privacy policy. Please note that Users of the Site may be subject to other local, state, national, and international laws. Users expressly agree that exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or dispute with Nutrition Her or relating in any way to the use of the Site resides in the courts of the State of New York. Users further agree and expressly consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction in the courts of the State of New York, in connection with any such dispute and including any claim involving Nutrition Her or its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors, telecommunication providers and, content providers.

We control and operate this site from our offices in New York, New York. We do not represent that materials on the site are appropriate or available for use outside of New York, New York. Persons who choose to access this site from other locations do so on their own initiative, and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.

Nutrition Her is based in the United States, with our servers and offices headquartered in the United States. Please be aware that information you provide to us or that we obtain as a result of your use of the Site may be processed and transferred to, and be subject to the laws of, the United States. The privacy and data protection laws in the United States may not be equivalent to similar laws in your country of residence. By using the Site or by providing us with your information, you consent to the collection, transfer, storage, and processing of information to and within the United States. If our cookies or other software detects IP addresses located in a country outside the United States, we reserve the right to deny access to any and all of our services

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Nutrition Her may modify, amend, or otherwise change this privacy policy at any time in our sole discretion, without your consent and without prior notice. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. Users acknowledge and agree that it the User’s responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

Nutrition Her is founded and run by Julianka Bell, MS, RDN. Julianka is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and has a Master of Science in Nutrition. Her credentials are detailed on the About Page under credentials. The views on this Site do not directly reflect the values, thoughts, or opinions of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, other professional health organizations, or her current employer. Nutrition Her’s nutrition and wellness views and beliefs have been influenced by her education, professional experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutrition, and evidence-based research.
